Born in Liverpool, UK in the late 1970s, I emigrated with my family to Adelaide, Australia when I was 3. Despite being English, baptised Anglican, and attending an Anglican girls school for 12 years, I was nearly 40 before I would hear of St Thomas Becket.
Around that age, in 2016, I had a dramatic conversion to Catholicism, rescuing me from an atheistic, anarchist, anti-civilisation mindset. St Thomas Becket became my confirmation saint after an unforgettable experience at the site of his martyrdom. He continues to intercede for me (and others) to this very day.
If you have experienced his intercession, please email me at and I will add your story to this site, to inspire others to be devoted to this great saint once more.
